Masters Grand Prix

Track & Field for Passionate Athletes 35+

The Masters Grand Prix is a vibrant series of competitive track and field meetings designed specifically for veteran athletes from the UK and beyond. Open to anyone aged 35 and over, these events require no club or federation membership — just a love for athletics and a drive to compete.

Each meeting features a mix of sprints, middle-distance races, jumps, and throws, all conducted under UK Athletics rules with fully electronic timing. All results are submitted to Power of 10.

Whether you're returning to the sport or a regular on the circuit, the Masters Grand Prix offers a supportive, spirited environment to chase personal bests and celebrate lifelong fitness through athletics.

What is Masters Athletics?

Once you reach the age of 35, you're officially classified as a ‘Masters’ (or 'Veteran') athlete.

To ensure fair and competitive opportunities, Masters athletics is divided into five-year age categories:

Men: M35, M40, M45, M50, M55, M60, M65, M70, M75, M80, etc.

Women: F35, F40, F45, F50, F55, F60, F65, F70, F75, F80, and beyond.

Your category is based on your actual date of birth. For example, if you turn 40 on January 26, you'll compete as a M35 until January 25 and as an M40 from your birthday onward.

No Barriers – Open To All

If you’re 35 or older, you’re eligible — no strings attached. Just come along, enjoy the atmosphere, and aim for your own personal best.

Because at Masters Grand Prix, we believe: Age is no barrier — just the next chapter.
